Vision led mother to lay on hands, share Spirit

Following are excerpts from a Feb. 28 post by Leilani Neumann on the evangelical Christian Web site AmericasLastDays.com:

“Last Wednesday morning (a week ago), The Lord got me up early to pray. I didn’t have a hard time focusing, since a spirit of intercession was upon me and I only felt led to pray in tongues, not knowing what I was praying for. After a few minutes, I had an open vision where I saw two ladies from the Women of Favor group I teach on Wednesdays sitting on the sofa where they might normally sit. I saw myself telling the first lady, Debbie, who by the way was our very first customer at our coffee shop, MOnkey MO, how to receive the Holy Spirit. She attends a Catholic church and has only been coming to WOF for maybe four times, so she doesn’t know too much of the Bible, but has enjoyed our study as we have been going through Genesis.

Faith Healing
The term ‘faith healing’ refers to healing that occurs supernaturally — as the result of prayer rather than the use of medicines or the involvement of physicians or other medical care.
But while faith healings do take place today just as they did in the early Christian church, the teachings of some churches, movements and individuals on this subject amount to spiritual abuse.
Legitimate churches and movements do not equal using drugs or receiving proper medical attention with unbelief, insufficient faith, or otherwise sinning against God.

“In this vision, I was letting her know she didn’t need to know too much about the Holy Spirit, but that it is in the Bible and it was poured out on the disciples, and has continued to this day. I told her she could receive it by faith, because I was filled with the Holy Spirit and I was going to lay my hands on her, and if she had faith to receive it, she would receive it. I also saw myself turn to the person next to her, which was Althea Wormgoor, who has recently come to WI from CA.”

“Althea had been fighting receiving the Holy Spirit as the scripture says, because of prior teaching. … But in the vision I saw myself also lay hands on her to be filled, and she also was filled.”

“Many times The Lord has told me things that are going to happen many years down the road, but this was the first time I had experienced this kind of preparation for that very day. It was a new step of faith for me, so I knew I had to do it right away before I started teaching, because the topic was something that needed to be spiritually discerned.”

“I began reenacting the vision and asked Debbie if she had faith for this to happen, and she said, yes, even though she was kind of scared about what she might feel or experience. Then I asked Athea if she wanted me to pray for her. She repeated that she already had this through accepting Christ as her Savior, so I told her, ‘Okay, you don’t have faith for it, so I’ll just pray for Debbie.’ When I laid my hands on Debbie with complete faith in obedience, the power of God fell on her and she immediately felt the Holy Spirit fill her with His Presence. While this happened, she told us later, she saw Jesus comforting her and letting her know this was from Him and not to be scared. After sitting back down, the energy of God was going through my hands in such a powerful way I felt like I had to release it and pray for others, so I laid my hands on the three other Spirit-filled women, and they were ministered to by the Spirit.

“By now I had gone full circle and come back to Althea, who had been observing everyone being supernaturally touched. I could tell she now had enough faith at that moment and was ready to receive. I quickly asked her permission first, then I laid my hands on her and she began crying and saying, ‘Thank you Jesus!’ as the Spirit filled her.”

“I feel God saying it is time for believers to step forward in obedience and faith, and signs will follow.”
