Dutson, 25, is the youngest member of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be sentenced out of the seven who have undergone prosecution on evidence seized in the raid on the FLDS-owned Yearning for Zion Ranch.
The prosecution and defense rested Monday evening for the sentencing phase of the trial of Keith Dutson Jr., making way for final arguments at 9:30 a.m. today.
Rebecca Musser, the ex-FLDS member, testified as both a lay and expert witness to stress the importance of record keeping among FLDS members. Her testimony was meant to authenticate records taken during a raid on the FLDS-owned Yearning for Zion Ranch.
The evidence came from a raid on the Yearning for Zion Ranch in 2008 when authorities acted on what was later determined to be a hoax call of a woman claiming abuse at the ranch.
A request to move the trial of Keith Dutson Jr., a member of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints charged with sexual assault of a child, was denied Wednesday morning by 51st District Judge Barbara Walther.
Attorneys in the trial of Keith William Dutson Jr. may have a jury selected by this afternoon, as the potential jurors will return at 1 p.m. for the final selection.
Dutson is the seventh member of the FLDS to undergo criminal prosecution.
