Cult survivor relives history of servitude in the Brisbane Christian Fellowship

Brisbane Christian Fellowship The Brisbane Christian Fellowship is a cult both theologically and sociologically.

Theologically it is a cult of Christianity as its teachings violate those of the Bible. The church’s unreasonable demands and destructive, controlling behavior also mark sociologically as a cult.

Some of the cult’s survivors are now exposing the church to daylight.

Senator Xenophon vows to pursue ‘cults’

Cults Addressing a conference of cult survivors in Brisbane today, Senator Nick Xenophon said a new motion for a new parliamentary inquiry might include a push for police to take criminal action against cults.

He was also attracted to using the Trade Practices Act to prosecute groups for false and misleading conduct if they wrongly claimed to provide therapeutic benefits to their devotees.

The conference has heard a number of heart-rending stories from different religion-based and therapeutic cults.

Cult orders teens to put faith before family

Brisbane Christian Fellowship Teenage members of Australian church have been ordered to put the church’s teachings before family or risk excommunication. The church is under control of the Brisbane Christian Fellowship. Theologically cult of Christianity, sociologically the ‘Fellowship’ movement has cult-like elements as well.

Last year the fellowship made Australian headlines after the ABC’s Four Corners ran an expose of its teachings and doctrine. The Church is also featured in a book by Morag Zwartz, Apostles of Fear: A Cult Church Exposed.
