Lee’s Summit Police investigate death of one of their own

LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — Lee’s Summit Police are investigating the death of a former police dispatcher.

The woman died Tuesday, five weeks after giving birth to a stillborn baby in her home on Dec. 1.

Her husband is a Lee’s Summit Police officer.

Sources close to the couple say they have strong religious beliefs that kept them from seeking medical treatment.

Wednesday, police turned the report over to the medical examiner’s office, but the office has not released the findings.
