Killer of Canadian cult leader receives life sentence

Canadian police say a man will appear in court in Moncton, N.B., today to face a first-degree murder charge in the death of former cult leader Roch Theriault.
Theriault, 63, was killed in an altercation with another inmate inside the correctional centre in Dorchester on Feb. 26.
Infamous cult leader Roch Theriault was found dead inside his prison cell early Saturday.
A spokesman for Corrections Canada said there was evidence Theriault was the victim of an assault and that a murder investigation is now underway.
