The investigation of a paedophile and child pornography cult in the Southern Cape is continuing, while the case of a Stilbaai pair who are allegedly linked to the cult and who were arrested on rape charges has been postponed for two months. The 18-year-old woman and 36-year-old man made a brief appearance in court on Friday before being returned to custody until their next court appearance on April 18. A teenage girl, implicated in the rape of two children and the production of child pornography, appeared briefly in the Stilbaai regional court on Friday. The 18-year-old girl and her 36-year-old male co-accused are charged with two counts of rape, and are also facing charges under the Films and Publications Act for the production and possession of child pornography. The case was postponed to February 10 in Riversdale. On Friday, a new defence lawyer, Cape Town-based Greg Duncan, was appointed for the teenager. George – Southern Cape police have arrested a man and woman on rape charges and taken two children into safe custody after a raid on a farm where child pornography was allegedly filmed. Spokesperson captain Eddie Cronje said the arrests were made during a police raid on a farm near Stilbaai on Tuesday, following a tip-off from a member of the public. Two minors, 11 and 14 years old, were found in the house. The children had allegedly been part of sexual activities in the house which were filmed and photographed.
