No charges will be filed in a bizarre happening at the home of a suspected religious cult leader that left an 18-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries, Baltimore County police said Tuesday.

An 18-year-old woman suffered numerous injuries at a suburban Baltimore home owned by the founder of an organization that’s been described as a religious cult, but the woman and her associates have not been forthcoming about what happened, police said Thursday. Baltimore County police were searching for at least one suspect in the assault on an 18-year-old woman that led to a barricade Wednesday around a Pikesville house owned by a suspected religious cult leader. The home is owned by Avraham Cohen, the President of the Samanta Roy Institute of Science and Technology. Police say they do not believe Cohen is directly involved, but other members of his group may be. Although federal prosecutors will not pursue charges in connection to alleged threats against residents by a secretive group near Shawano, Wisconsin, no one has given those named on the “implied threat” list the all clear. More than three months after police announced they had a person of interest in custody for making threats against 60 Shawano-area residents, investigators have offered little about their efforts to solve the case.
