BOISE — Tuesday is the big day for scores of political candidates around the state. Voters will be heading to the polls to elect new mayors and city councilman.
The hottest races this year have been in Boise, where four candidates are running for an open seat after the former mayor resigned in disgrace.
If none of the candidates gets more than 50 percent of the vote, a runoff election will be set for December.
In northern Idaho, white supremacist Richard Butler and two of his associates are running for mayor and city council of Hayden Lake.
Most Hayden officials say they want to see a big turnout against the Aryan Nations founder.
