Arizona TV station KTVK — at AZFamily.com — is among the many Utah and Arizona media outlets keeping tabs on the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS).

The religious cult is lead by Warren Jeffs, considered by followers to be a prophet from God.

KTVK’s Mike Watkiss says

It has been six months since polygamous prophet Warren Jeffs was sentenced to life in a Texas prison for sexually assaulting underage girls. 

Now, six months down the road, it’s clear Jeffs continues to pull the strings, call the shots and rule with an iron fist in the twin border towns of Hildale, Utah and Colorado City, Ariz.
