Conference talk by controversial Islamic preacher cancelled

Islamic hate-monger Zakir Naik’s address to North America’s largest Islamic gathering last Saturday night was cancelled 15 minutes before he was due to speak.

No explanation has been given for the cancellation. Early last moth the Muslim extremist was barred from entering Britain because of disparaging comments he has made about Jews, women, gays and non-Muslims. Two weeks ago he was also barred from entering Canada, where the conference took place. It was later announced that he would address the conference via a video link instead.

In his past speeches Naik has advocated death to Muslims who leave Islam, as well as to homosexuals. In one YouTube video, he explains the rules on how a Muslim man can beat his wife.
