A 21-year-old man who stole cash to escape his ‘strict Muslim parents’ spared jail.

When he was arrested the young man told police he was going to use the money to leave home and follow his dream of becoming a mechanic, which his parents disapproved of. His ‘extremely religious’ family also forced their adult son to observe a 10.30pm curfew.
