CONROE — After eight hours of deliberating, a six-man, six-woman jury returned a guilty verdict in the capital murder case against Blaine Milam Monday night.
Milam and his girlfriend Jesseca Carson are accused of killing her 13-month-old daughter Amora on Dec. 2, 2008 in their Rusk County home.
The prosecution is seeking the death penalty in the case.
Milam originally told authorities the day of the murder that an unknown person entered the house while he and Ms. Carson were looking at some property down the road. He told investigators that when they returned to the home they found Amora dead.
