Labor union sues Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

According to Dutch news service NOS Teletekst, FNB Bondgenoten, a labor union, has filed a lawsuit against ‘spiritual movement’ of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The movement, Transcendental Meditation, is headquartered in Vlodrop, Limburg (county), Netherlands.

The case concerns backwages for three ex-employees, in the amount of €100.000.

The labor union was approach last month by three ex-employees from India. They had worked for the Transcendental Movement for three years. They worked seven days a week, were never given vacation, and hardly any salary.

According to newspaper the Telegraaf, the three are staying with 30 other ex-workers, in barracks near Vlodrop.
