Google, Yahoo, And ‘The International Scientology Crime Syndicate’
What do Google (NSDQ: GOOG), Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO), and The Church of Scientology have in question? They’re among the dozens named as defendants in a lawsuit filed on Tuesday in a Florida federal court.
The plaintiff, Peter Letterese, is alleging that The Church of Scientology runs a worldwide criminal network and has been assisted by Google, Yahoo, and the other defendants.

Really, it’s not clear what the plaintiff is talking about. And that’s a shame, because if you’re going to make wild accusations, they may as well be entertaining.
It seems Letterese, an ex-Scientologist, had a copyright dispute with the Church of Scientology in the past and lost.
Regardless of what one thinks of The Church of Scientology, Letterese’s case is a dog. Neither Google nor Yahoo will waste any time on it. It won’t go anywhere.
