Weeks Pleads Not Guilty To Assault Charges

ATLANTA — Bishop Thomas Weeks entered a not guilty plea inside a Fulton County courtroom Monday morning.

Weeks is accused of choking, kicking and stomping his estranged wife, evangelist Juanita Bynum.

The alleged attack happened in August in a hotel parking lot near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Weeks was indicted and charged with aggravated assault, two counts of simple battery and making terroristic threats.

Investigators said Weeks told his wife that he would kill her during the attack.

Weeks and Bynum founded Global Destiny Ministries in Duluth.

Weeks will be back in court once his trial date is set.
