The Catholic Church authorities in Masaka district have said they do not recognise claims that the Virgin Mary visited Mbuye parish.
The Church told followers on Thursday not to believe Specioza Mukantabana‘s claims of communicating with Mary.
The vicar general of Masaka Diocese, Joseph Kato Ssempungu, said the Church was still being guided by a communication from retired bishop Adrian Ddungu, barring Catholics from following Mukantabana’s claims.
Mukantabana first claimed to have been visited by Mary on November, 29, 1988.
“We do not recognise the issue of the Virgin Mary visiting Mbuye and speaking through this woman and none of us should go there,” Kato said.
