A young woman, of Moroccan origin, was rushed into hospital on Thursday in Brussels following an exorcism session, according to the Belgian daily “La Dernie`re heure”.
The 31-year-old Rachida, who was talked into the idea of the exorcism treatment by her brother, took a mixture of water and the oil of black cumin only to find herself in a critical condition.
The victim’s brother was interrogated after the incident, reported the daily, and he could be sued for attempted murder.
In less than two years, the affair of Rachida constitutes the fifth case of exorcism in Belgium. Four people have died of the complications of the exorcism rites. One example of this tragedy is a man who was recently beaten to death with a broom.
