Draper police arrested the son of imprisoned polygamist Tom Green on Wednesday evening for allegedly engaging in sex with a 13-year-old girl.
William John Aldrich Green, 18, was arrested about 5:30 p.m. near his Draper home, Sgt. Gerald Allred said.
Green allegedly met the 13-year-old girl on www.myspace.com in February. Later that month, and again in March,
Green and the girl met in the Draper area for sex, Allred said. Green was booked into the Salt Lake County jail on suspicion of rape of a child. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
The girl, who is from the south valley area, reported Green to police, Allred said.
His father, Tom Green, is serving up to five years in prison for four counts of bigamy and one count of criminal nonsupport. He was also convicted in a separate case for fathering a child with his stepdaughter, who became his so-called “spiritual wife” at the age of 13.
