Another ex-patient sues Delnor, citing witchcraft

KANE COUNTY — For the second time in two weeks, a woman who was under the care of a psychologist alleged in a lawsuit that the psychologist administered witchcraft under the guise of therapy.

In the latest suit, filed Monday in Kane County Circuit Court, Deanna Whetstine, who underwent therapy for pain management because of a neurological condition, alleged psychologist Letitia Libman claimed to possess psychic powers. Earlier this month, another patient made similar allegations against Libman in a federal lawsuit. Libman couldn’t be reached for comment Monday, but she denied the accusations at the time of the first lawsuit.

Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva, the only defendant in both lawsuits, issued a statement saying Libman is no longer employed by the hospital.
