Renowned Healer Returns To North West

Faith healer Mary Malone is set to return the North West at the start of next month, after receiving hundreds of letters from locals eager to meet with her.

The Irish born faith healer, who has travelled more than two million miles during the course of her work, hasn’t been in Derry for more than two years.

However, she told the “Journal” this week that she has been “overwhelmed” by the number of people seeking her help and she looks forward to meeting as many of them as possible when she visits Letterkenny at the start of February.

Mary has visionary powers, which she said came to her after she had a dream 14 years ago. In the dream, Padre Pio came to her to tell her to combine healing with her work as a lecturer on visionary energy.

Six weeks after this first dream she says Padre Pio returned to her again and when she woke up both her hands were burning hot. She woke her husband Malcolm, who travels with her and he examined her hands and found that her hands were too hot to hold, even for a short length of time.

After an hour, her hands returned to normal with the exception of the palms of her hands, which remained hot.

Unable to sleep she, along with Malcolm, decided to go out for a coffee at a small cafe. As she sat there a lady appeared and told she was ill. Mary then asked the lady could she say a prayer for her and lay her hands on her.

When she next saw the lady a week later she was completely cured.

From that time on Mary, orginally from Galway, has travelled the world sharing her healing powers with people from all walks of life. Amongst those she has helped are actress Debbie Reynolds and Marlon Jackson, brother of Michael.

‘here to help’ “I don’t care who you are, rich or poor. I’m here to help people the very best that I can. I’ve been lucky in that I’ve been able to travel the world and meet people from all walks of life. Derry and Donegal are among my favourite destinations though, as the people are so open to what I do.”

While Mary used to hold group sessions, she now finds that people prefer to talk to her on a one-to-one basis as they can talk more freely. “Sessions last around 15 minutes,” Mary said, “and not only do I talk with the people I pray with them. I am a very strong believer in the power of the Rosary and I take my Rosary with me everywhere I go.

“I have visionary powers, and I never see anything bad. I can put a person’s mind at rest if they are going through an illness or bad time emotionally.

“I have also been able to see people who have passed on from this life, particularly young people. There is a place people go before they pass on to heaven and I can sometimes see them around their loved ones.

“It can be a great consolation to families and friends who are bereaved,” Mary said.

Although Mary’s healing powers are now famous throughout the world, she remains modest about where her gift came from: “I am not the healer and do not think that the healing comes from me. I know it comes from God and I am merely his worker here on Earth,” Mary said.

“But I know I can help people with a variety of problems. I do not just help with physical problems. I am a spiritual healer and that means that I must heal the spirit of a person before I can heal any external problems.

“Each person is different and I am dealing with a different energy for each person.”

Throughout her travels Mary has collected tesitmonies from countless celebrities, journalists and clients all professing that her powers are real and astounding.

She will be staying at the Holiday Inn in Letterkenny from February 1. If demand is high enough, she will stay a further week.

“I hope to offer people comfort, healing and reassurance. I want to share my gift with as many people as possible.”
