The last will and testament of the late superstar Isaac Hayes’s is being probated right now. And guess what? Hayes left nothing to the Church of Scientology.

This news must sting something awful, as numerous well-known Scientologists attended not one but maybe four different funerals and memorial services for Hayes in August after he died.

Singer Isaac Hayes died on Sunday at the age of 65. Besides being a sex symbol, a soul-music legend, and a beloved voice-over artist, Hayes was also a dedicated Scientologist.

According to his religious beliefs, what happens to Hayes now that he’s passed away?

In March 2006, news came that Hayes was resigning from “South Park.” On March 20, 2006, Roger Friedman wrote a column called “Chef’s Quitting Controversy,” explaining that his friend, Isaac Hayes, was in no position to have quit anything due to his stroke.

But Scientology issued the statement to the press saying Hayes had resigned, and the press just ate it up. No one spoke to Isaac directly, because he couldn’t literally speak.
