The founder of the House of Yahweh religious sect remained jailed Wednesday on four counts of bigamy, officials said.

Yisrayl Hawkins, the reputed leader of the House of Yahweh religious sect near Clyde, was booked into the Taylor County Jail on Tuesday night on four counts of bigamy, a jail officer said.

The teen said she has been molested since she was 8, most recently by Hawkins in his bedroom earlier this month.

The doomsday cult that prophesied the end of the world in September last year is still clinging on to its pessimistic view of the future, though it has since edited the prophesy to suit the fact that this sinful world is still here.

Hawkins, believed to be a member of a religious sect called the House of Yahweh, faces up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 fine for the third-degree charge.
