Goth Liturgy At St George’s Episcopal Church, in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, people who sport spiked hair, black boots and eyeliner are welcome.

The church celebrated The Goth Liturgy.

The Goth Liturgy took off in England in the 1990s, Divis added, and may gain momentum locally if the congregations grow.

Saturday night’s service will be followed by several more during Advent season at St. George’s, which ends at Christmas, Divis said.

Sophie Lancaster, murdered by savage beasts simply because she dressed like a Goth Goths in England have marched in memory of Sophie Lancaster, a young woman who was murdered simply for the way she looked.

She was brutally attacked along with her boyfriend, Robert Maltby, while walking through a park near Manchester almost a year ago. The couple wore gothic fashion and were members of the goth subculture.
