Controversial founder of Lagos-based church - Christian Praying Assembly - Mr. Emeka Ezeuko, alias Rev. King was yesterday arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and murder, at a Magistrate Court in Ebute Metta, Lagos. But the court will on Monday, August 14, rule on whether it has jurisdiction to hear the case.

LAGOS — Embattled General Overseer of Christian Praying Assembly, Emeka Ezeugo a.k.a Rev. King and his two fellow church members would on Monday know whether the fresh charges of murder preferred against them by the police would be entertained by a Lagos Chief Magistrate court sitting at Oyingbo, Lagos.

In year 2001, Emeka Ezeugo, alias Pastor or Rev. Dr. King started his church at the back of Caprisonne, in Ajao Estate in Lagos, Nigeria, few yards to the canal that took the lives of thousands of Lagosians some years back. His church was directly around Inno Nwosu street where I was resident.
