Kibwetere Museum Due In Kanungu
|
Kanungu district authorities are planning to develop the premises where the “Kibwetere” cult church once stood into a tourist site.
Kanungu deputy chief administrative officer Moses Kanyarutokye said this at the district headquarters last week.
“We are only waiting for government approval and handover of the premises to the district council,” he said.
Kanyarutokye said the new tourist site would generate revenue for the district.
“If the Government allows us to take over the place, we intend to construct a museum at the site as well,” he said.
Kanyarutokye said funding for the project was expected to come from NGOs, the district and well-wishers
