Deya birth claims are denied
Kenya Red Cross Society has denied ever witnessing the birth of one of the Gilbert Deya ‘miracle babies’.
The society denied claims by Nigerian-born Edith Ezedom who had insisted that Kenya Red Cross Society officials witnessed the birth of her son at Mama Lucy Clinic in June.
According to the Nation Media Group publication, The Weekly Advertiser, the society confirmed that one of its official Ahmed Muhammed Abdi saw her being admitted to Mama Lucy Clinic in Nairobi’s Huruma Ngei One estate on June 2 but did not witness the actual birth.
The organisation had been picked by a British law firm, Matrimonial, Children and Family Solicitors to confirm whether they witnessed the birth of the ‘miracle baby’.
The society’s spokesman, Mr Anthony Mwangi, said Mr Abdi did not witness any births.
