Murphy says no to Kabbalah

Hollywood babe Brittany Murphy has no interest in the controversial Kabbalah following – despite wearing its signature red string bracelet.

Celebrity Kabbalists such as Madonna, Guy Ritchie, Demi Moore and Murphy’s ex-love Ashton Kutcher all wear red string bracelets to demonstrate their devotion to the mystical offshoot of Judaism.

Last summer Murphy’s jeweller pal Neil Lane said the Just Married actress had begun reading a book on Kabbalistic meditation and was “very happy these days”, prompting rumours she had dumped her Baptist upbringing in favour of the Kabbalah.

However, Murphy tells American magazine Star that while she is not a follower, she does respect the Kabbalah.

She says: “But I think that Kabbalah’s great.”
