Taipei – A Taoist priest has successfully performed an exorcism at a Taiwanese legislator’s office to break a spell allegedly cast by an female aide who had lured him into having an affair, said a newspaper report.
The evening China Times Express quoted an unnamed witness as saying the Taoist master had “seized ‘hsiao kui’”, or evil spirits, while he performed the exorcism at the office of MP Cheng Yu-cheng on Saturday night.
Concern had reportedly been growing that the married Cheng from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) was being controlled by his female aide Wang Hsiao-chan through some kind of spell.
