Woman to face court over faith healer’s murder

A woman has been charged with the 2006 murder of a 22-year-old Bedfordshire spiritual healer.

Alfusaine Jabbi was tortured and killed and his body dumped at Leagrave Park, Luton, where it was found on 29 April 2006.

Rubina Maroof, 29, was arrested by officers when she arrived at Heathrow Airport from Pakistan on Sunday and later charged.

She will appear before Luton magistrates’ court on Tuesday morning.

Bedfordshire Police are still looking for Muhammad Maroof, formerly of Pembroke Avenue, Luton, in connection with the murder. He is thought to be Pakistan.
