Kavindele Gets Moonies Invitation to Seoul
The Post (Zambia), Feb. 3, 2003

The Moonies have invited Vice-President Enoch Kavindele to Seoul, Korea for a leadership and governance conference as a ’special guest’.
According to an invitation letter dated January 5, 2003, the conference sponsored by the Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace (IIFWP), founded by Reverend Sun Myung Moon and his wife is expected to run between February 4 – 7.
Sources in the Unification church in Lusaka revealed that the invitation of Vice-President Kavindele was influenced by Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo’s former wife Maria Sung.
“Maria believes that the Vice-President is a nice man because he was accommodating when she was in the country to follow up the issue of her marriage with Archbishop Milingo,” a source said. “She even went to see him to say bye when she was leaving the country.”
Maria Sung returned to Korea after it became apparent that Archbishop Milingo who visited the country last December was no longer interested in the marriage.
According to the invitation letter, the conference is expected to be chaired by Reverend Kwak along with former presidents of Belarussia Stanislav Shushkevich, Iceland’s Hermannssen and Costa Rica’s Rodrigo Carazo.
Vice-President Kavindele is also expected to attend the birthday of Rev. Moon on February 6, a day before the close of the conference.
