Tonight: Niece of Scientology Leader Shares Her Story on Nightline
Tonight on “Nightline,” ABC News’ Lisa Fletcher delves into the controversial world of Scientology.
The Church of Scientology claims its membership ranks have grown to the millions — helped no doubt by the very high profile of some of their believers, like Tom Cruise. But this expansion is in the face of a mounting wave of criticism — in online videos, and in protests across the country.
“Nightline” talks to a niece of the Church’s worldwide leader, David Miscavige. In the interview, Jenna Miscavige Hill gives her account of her life growing up in Scientology, how she became disillusioned with the Church, and why she finally decided to leave.
Watch the story tonight on “Nightline” at 11:35 p.m. ET.
