Web Site Offers Glimpse Inside Polygamist Compound
Members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have created a new Web site that offers a glimpse into their once-secretive lifestyle.
The Web site, CaptiveFLDSChildren.org, features images and videos taken during the raid on the YFZ Ranch near Eldorado, Texas.
“No one knows anything about them. They have no face, no voice,” FLDS family spokesperson Rod Parker said. “A big part of this is to give a voice to those people.”
Some images show the children clearly in distress as Texas troopers, rangers and child protective services escort them to the bus. Other photos show the damage to the compound and provide a look into how the families lived.
In one video posted on the site, one young boy simply says, “I don’t want to go.”
