No Santa for Suri – just Scientology
There will be no Santa for Suri Cruise this year with the little TomKitten growing up in a home that rejects Christmas.
New Idea magazine is reporting that while millions of kids jump out of their beds at the crack of dawn and scramble to unwrap their presents under the tree, it’s going to be just another day for Scientologist superstars Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
The Church of Scientology believes people only celebrate Christmas to ‘manipulate the season for promotional purposes.’
New Idea Editor Michelle Endacott says it’s unlikely Tom will ever compromise on the issue.
“Look, Tom Cruise is very controlling, he’s a very senior member of the Scientologists,” she said.
“The two children he adopted with Nicole Kidman are also Scientologists and he’s very, very controlling of them as well.”
And she thinks Katie wouldn’t have had much of a say in the matter.
“I think that she’s very much under Tom’s thumb… I think she’s a very controlled girl at the moment and I think in a few years she might look back at this and wonder what she did.”
The news follows reports Tom Cruise had been attempting to convert friends, David and Victoria Beckham, by sending a ‘Scientology Christmas card’ which reportedly carried the message, “Please accept the enclosed Code of Honour as my gift to you and may you experience comfort and encouragement from it in your own life.
“A donation has been made on your behalf to the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SCIENTOLOGISTS. The IAS is committed to achieving the aims of Scientology.”
