Drew Peterson: Stacy sexied up for pastor
Drew Peterson said Wednesday that his missing wife, Stacy, had “a big crush” on the Naperville pastor who says she confided to him incriminating statements her husband made about a previous wife’s death.
“Every time she went to see him, she was all dolled up, all sexied up,” Drew Peterson said of Stacy Peterson’s visits to pastor Neil Schori. “All I know for sure is, Stacy had a big crush on him.”
Schori said earlier this week that Stacy Peterson told him in August that Drew Peterson confessed he had killed his ex-wife Kathleen Savio. Savio’s March 2004 death was first ruled an accidental bathtub drowning, but authorities reopened the investigation after Stacy Peterson disappeared Oct. 28.
Drew Peterson said he had no knowledge of his wife carrying on romantically with Schori, a subject broached by the former Bolingbrook police sergeant’s lawyer, Joel Brodsky, during a Tuesday night interview on MSNBC.
“I’ve heard rumors there was some connection there” between Stacy Peterson and Schori, Brodsky said, adding, “I don’t know if there is any validity to it.”
Schori could not be reached for comment. But Pam Bosco, a spokeswoman for Stacy Peterson’s family, was unfazed.
“That’s [Brodsky's] regular way of deflecting the issues at hand — to try to place blame on everyone else but Drew,” she said.
Drew Peterson also took issue with a former fiancee’s account of how their relationship ended. Kyle Piry of Joliet has accused him of following her, stalking her and harassing her with bogus tickets — charges he denied.
He said Piry is bitter over being spurned. After their engagement, Peterson said, he found out Piry not only was seeing an old boyfriend but was also dancing at bachelor parties.
“She became somebody I really didn’t want to be married to,” Drew Peterson said.
Piry called Peterson’s version “all lies.”
“He’s an idiot,” she said.
Drew Peterson also disputed a report that he fired a gun through the floor of his home into his garage in August, narrowly missing Stacy Peterson. Drew Peterson called it “a stupid thing” and an accident, but said it was his wife who fired the shot.
Stacy’s half sister Cassandra Cales reported the incident to Bolingbrook police after Stacy disappeared, said Bolingbrook Police Chief Ray McGury. The department launched an investigation because Drew Peterson had not reported the incident.
“I had some deep concerns,” McGury said.
