Finkelstein Thompson LLP Announces Mannatech, Inc. Investigation
WASHINGTON, July 16 /PRNewswire/ — Finkelstein Thompson LLP is currently investigating potential shareholder claims against Mannatech, Inc. (”Mannatech” or the “Company”).
On July 5, 2007, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott filed a complaint against Mannatech in the Travis County District Court.
The complaint, which accuses the Company of illegal and deceptive marketing practices, stems from an investigation started by state authorities in October 2006.
Texas has alleged that Mannatech and its affiliates made exaggerated and unsupported claims about the therapeutic benefits of its dietary supplements and nutritional products without proper regulatory clearance.
On July 6, 2007, Mannatech’s share price responded sharply to this news, plunging over 23% or $3.75 to close at an 11-month low of $12.25.
