16-Year-Old Boy Ran Away After Brother’s Death

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Police said they have located the missing 16-year-old boy in a house in northeast Kansas City, Kan. Christon Edgar disappeared Dec. 30. Christon ran away after the murder of his brother last week. Police have charged the boys’ parents, Neil and Christy Edgar, with first-degree murder in the death of Brian Edgar, 9. Police located Christon in a home near North 22nd Street and Lathrop Avenue. Lonnel Dodds told KMBC he picked Christon up at a bus station on Dec. 30, and sheltered him until Monday, when police took Christon into custody. Dodds said Christon told him he doesn’t believe his parents had anything to do with Brian’s murder.
Police said Christon was in good condition and was being questioned Monday night.
