The Topeka church known for spreading its message of hate at military funerals has been fined more than $3,000.

A federal judge in Baltimore has ordered the Westboro Baptist church to pay the fine after they picketed the funeral of Lance Corporal Matthew Snyder.

Snyder was killed in Iraq in March, 2006.

His father is suing the church saying it violated the family’s right to privacy and defamed the Marine and his family on the church’s website.
