Madonna donates most to Kabbalah
Pop mega-star gives almost half a million dollars to Kabbalah center. AIDS foundations, if you wonder, got nothing more than USD 25,000
It is no secret that Madonna gave millions of dollars to the Kabbalah Center, founded by Karen and Philip Berg, but how much exactly?
Fox News reported that the newest tax filing for the Ray of Light Foundation shows Madonna is very generous when it comes to Kabbalah: She gave the center’s Spirituality for Kids branch USD 268,106 in 2005, and donated another USD 184,250 to the Kabblah Centre itself.
What is interesting about Madonna’s donations to the Bergs is that they far exceed anything she donates for music, AIDS, or education causes. Her donation to the Grammy Foundation’s MusiCares program, for example, stood at no more than USD 2,500.
The same goes for the sum she handed over for AIDS research in 2005 — USD 10,000 to AIDS Project Los Angeles, and USD15,000 to the TJ Martell Foundation for Cancer Research.
Apparently the material girl has set her priorities – Kabbalah comes first.
