After weeks of investigations into the fire attack on six church members by the General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly (CPA), Lagos, the self-styled ‘His Holiness, (Dr.) Emeka Ezeuko Kingsley, police reports have gravely indicted him, described his as “evil incarnate.”

Saturday Sun learnt that after taking statements of the suspects and the victims in the crime which led to the death of Ann Uzuh, the cook, the police described the action of the pastor as an action “which falls of expectation as an acclaimed man of God.”

Police sources said whereas there was no evidence to link other suspects with the commission of the crime, there were overwhelming evidence in the case file to sustain a charge of murder against King.

“The man is evil incarnate. His vision is to destroy, not to salvage life. He is surely under satanic spell which he has in turn used to intimidate his spiritually incarcerated followers, especially the women folk who are obviously in the majority.”

Our sources added that while all the statements of the victims pointed in the same direction as to the fact that King ordered Kelechi to procure the fuel with which he set the six church members ablaze, only his statement said the contrary. Indeed, he denied it, claiming the fire emanated from explosion in the generating set.

Emeka King, Donatus Chiazor and Kelechi were docked before an Oyingbo Chief Magistrate court for murder and were remanded in prison, while the case file was duplicated and sent to the Directorate of Public Prosecution for legal advice.

There were indications that Kelechi might be used as a prosecution witness since she acted on the instruction of her boss and pastor , Rev. King, whose orders she could not have turned down.

“Even Kelechi who earlier denied having been cowed and promised a pardon and gifts by King, has recant, confessing that the victims were deliberate set ablaze by Pastor King, under the pretense that they were fornicators and witches.”

Meanwhile the police have continued their investigations into the case to ensure all loopholes were blocked to ensure their case sail through. An officer on top of the matter said: “We will do everything to make this case a success. We can afford to gamble with it. We are blocking all loopholes. We owe it a duty to the society.”

On allegation of bribe, the police said there was nothing bribe could do in the matter. “Are we saying that there was no crime committed? That six people were not burnt. That Ann is not dead and that a prima facie case of murder has not been established against him?”

Sources said before her death, Ann’s statement was recorded and fingerprint registered on it. An autopsy has also been carried out before the corpse was deposited at a mortuary.
