Torture – Emeka King, CPA Overseer Arrested
General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Assembly (CPA) based in Ajao Estate, Lagos, Rev. Emeka King is currently being interrogated by the police for allegedly torturing six members of his congregation.
Rev. King was alleged to have set them ablaze after bathing them with fuel in a bid to compell them make confession of alleged sexual immorality.
The beard wearing pastor was undergoing interrogation at the homicide section of Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba.
Rev. King, the self-acclaimed miracle worker was said to have set about six members of his congregation ablaze weekend, for allegedly engaging in fornication, even as the victims denied the allegation.
Not satisfied with their explanation, the pastor was said to have instructed a member of the church to soak them with fuel, lit a a match and set them on fire.
Daily Champion reliably gathered that one of the female victims who sustained high degree burns is admitted in a private hospital, Ajao Estate.
Confirming the arrest, the Deputy Commissioner of Police incharge of Panti CID, Mr. Olayinka Balogun said “yes, the man (the pastor) is with us.
According to Balogun, the pastor denied setting the victims ablaze but rather claimed they sustained burns from a burning generator.
“In between the man’s claim and the report we have we will be able to establish the truth.
“Meanwhile, the pastor is still undergoing interrogation and by the time we establish the facts we will let you know.”
It will be recalled that the controversial pastor who claims to proffer miraculous solution to HIV/AIDS and air borne diseases has been enmeshed in several scandals in recent times.
