World renowned evangelist Benny Hinn is expecting “multitudes” of Trinidadians as well as visitors from South and Central America and the Caribbean at his upcoming crusade in Trinidad in two months.

“Trinidad and Tobago is ready to witness God’s power as never before,” said Hinn in an article on his website bennyhinn.org.

The Benny Hinn Ministries Holy Spirit Miracle Crusade will be held from May 19 to 21 at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain from 4 p.m. each day.

“People throughout the region are expected to crowd into Queen’s Park Savannah to be part of what will undoubtedly be a historic event,” the article stated.

Hinn commented that there was currently an “openness” in this region and that there have never been so many opportunities to share the gospel throughout the Caribbean and South and Central America.

“Multitudes, hungry for the life-saving and miracle-working message of Jesus Christ, will be coming to the crusade,” he said.

Evangelist Benny Hinn is controversial for his frequently aberrant - and at times heretical - theology, his unorthodox practices, and his false claims. Nevertheless, large numbers of people who indentify themselves as Christians follow - and, often, appear to worship - this preacher.

Hinn’s last crusade in this country was in 1999, when he predicted that then Opposition Leader Patrick Manning would become the next Prime Minister, and later said in a television interview that he had cast out more devils in Trinidad than he had in a long time.

The article also provided cultural and historical information about the Queen’s Park Savannah and geographical and economic details about this country.

Hinn urged people to pray for God to “move mightily” in this country for the upcoming crusade.

Hinn’s ministries, which are located in Texas, host the television show “This is Your Day” on cable station Trinity Broadcasting Network and has held crusades all over the world.
