Mother Divine group occupying houses built for Indian pundits
MAHARISHI VEDIC CITY — The 100,000 square foot campus built in Maharishi Vedic City to house Indian pundits has a new group of residents.
As of Wednesday, a group of approximately 100 women devoted to the practice of Transcendental Meditation and the TM-Sidhi program, including Yogic flying, known as Mother Divine will be occupying the grounds.
“We’re delighted to have them here,” Vedic City city attorney Maureen Wynne said.
The group was welcomed to Vedic City with a bon fire and fireworks Wednesday evening.
According to Wynne, Mother Divine was founded in 1981 to allow women “the opportunity to deepen their experiences of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi program and enliven 24 hour bliss in daily life” and “to create large, permanent coherence-creating groups to radiance a powerful influence of harmony and bliss throughout the whole world.”
