LOS ANGELES — An alleged faith healer is scheduled to face a Van Nuys judge Tuesday morning.
Reina Chavarria, 48, is expected to be arraigned Tuesday in Van Nuys on charges connected with the death of a patient.
Chavarria is accused of involuntary manslaughter. She was arrested last month.
Her assistant, 28-year-old Margarita Montes, is charged with the unauthorized practice of medicine.
Investigators said the victim Roberto Caceres died after he received an injection from the women to cure a rash.
