KKK gets parade permit in Fayetteville

The Ku Klux Klan has been granted a parade permit in Fayetteville for the weekend after Bridge Day in October, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.

Michael Bryant, 42, who lives in the Shady Spring area of Raleigh County, said he obtained the permit on behalf of the KKK to conduct a gathering for a speaker from Illinois.

“They’re not going to march,” Bryant said. The speaker will be Matt Hale of World Church of the Creator, he said.
