State given more time to arrest Deya
More articles on this topic: Gilbert Deya MinistriesThe State was yesterday given a month to arrest London-based Kenyan preacher Gilbert Deya, who is facing child theft charges.
Chief magistrate Aggrey Muchelule granted the extension of the warrant on the preacher’s arrest following an application by the prosecution, which said it has not been able to arrest him. The case had came up for mention yesterday.
The charges of child theft were read in court formally last month but Archbishop Deya was not available to take a plea. He allegedly stole five children in Nairobi between 1999 and last year.
