Six held over Kibwetere’s iron sheets
Police in Kanungu are holding six men suspected to have stolen iron sheets from Kibwetere’s cult church, the Restoration of Ten Commandments of God at Nyabutogo village in Kanungu.
In 2000, over 800 people who belonged to the cult were burnt to death.
The District Police Commander, Mr Eddy Kulany, on September 26 told journalists that they had recovered 200 iron sheets.
“The iron sheets were recovered from the villages of Itembezo, Masya and Kampala,” he said.
