“Summer Without Sects” Campaign
Members of the Polish Committee of Protection Against Sects have appealed to parents around the country to take special care of their children during summer holidays.
Their “Summer without Sects” campaign has been held for over 8 years now. They have been distributing leaflets and organizing many informational events.
The head of the Committee, Ryszard Nowak stressed that one of its aims is to warn against various sects trying to attract followers especially during summer vacations.
Nowak also warned against their sophisticated methods of recruitment.
According to various sources, over 300 sects operate in Poland but the Committee claims there may be even over a 1000. Most of them bought properties in Poland and set up their own closed communities.
The committee lists Scientology and satanic groups among the most dangerous ones.
