Companies Accused Of Billing
AP, Oct. 23, 2002

Five states have settled up with the Florida-based psychic service known to many as “Miss Cleo.”
Pennsylvania, Kansas, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin have resolved lawsuits against Access Resource Services and Psychic Readers Network — both based in Fort Lauderdale.
They were accused of billing almost $5 per minute for calls that customers said were advertised as free. Some consumers said they were charged for calls they never made.
The states worked together but filed separate lawsuits and reached different settlements.
The companies have agreed to stop trying to collect millions in disputed charges. And some consumers will get refunds.
