Reality is infinitely flexible: Deepak Chopra
BANGALORE: “Who am I? What do I want? What is my purpose? – If you can answer these, you are on the road to freedom,” motivational guru Deepak Chopra told a packed audience at the Ambedkar Bhavan on Saturday.
The audience, which included corporates, executives and students, began this journey through a spiritual landscape with Chopra’s three-hour session.
He was speaking on ‘Synchronicity and the power of coincidence’ as part of the Indiatimes Wellness Forum organised by Indiatimes Mindscape.
Chopra spoke about synchronicity with a focus on spontaneous fulfilment of desire. He said reality was not a fixed entity but infinitely flexible through the instruments of observation — mind and eyes of the soul.
The word ’synchronicity’ first used by Carl Jung who claimed it to be a synchrony between the mind and the phenomenal world of perception, was linked to spontaneous fulfilment of desire by Chopra.
The author of over 30 books including ‘Ageless Body, Timeless Mind’, ‘The seven spiritual laws of success’ and his latest ‘Peace in the Way’, Chopra took the audience through a few mental exercises to discover their inner self.
The lecture was interspersed with translated verses of Sufi poet Jalaluddin Rumi, including one by Chopra which he called ‘Gift of love’ that talks about remembrance of oneself. The lecture also dealt with how to tap into the field of pure potentiality in order to orchestrate the fulfilment of all our desires and how to discover the incredible energy and intelligence that lies behind every coincidence.
